Sarah Gakeler is a real estate specialist for the United States Postal Service and works in Greensboro, North Carolina. Always a lover of the beach, boating has become part of her soul. Stepping on Mary Elizabeth, the stress of everyday washes away. Sarah's smile is never bigger than when leaving the dock, whether for an afternoon cruise, or in anticipation of an adventure waiting at the other end of a journey. She is the caretaker of both vessel and animals, and is the hostess of the vessel, providing experiences from relaxation to party and everything in between. Family and friends are a huge part of her life and are often part of the crew.
Doug
Doug Brisotti is author of the Grayson Cooper Adventures OBX Series (www.DouglasBrisotti.com) and works for a broadcasting company based in Raleigh, North Carolina. He grew up on the water on Long Island, sailing with his grandfather on Peconic Bay as a child, water-skiing and fishing on Great South Bay in his teens, and working on Fire Island Ferries as a first mate in High School. Doug is a licensed Captain (Masters 25-Ton) and has run vessels back and forth between Florida and the Bahamas over the past 15 years. His happy place is at the helm with friends and family chatting and laughing, and sharing stories that at one time at least were based in truth. Just don't ask him about his Boston Whaler.
